Howard Oriba, M.D.
Board Certified Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon, and Dermatopathologist

Dr. Howard Oriba specializes in the detection and treatment of skin cancers. His pathology training also aids in an examination of difficult histological cases. He also treats general dermatology problems. He has performed over 11,000 Mohs Micrographic Surgical procedures. He is board certified in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Howard Oriba graduated from UCLA and received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He completed his Dermatology Residency at US Naval Hospital, San Diego. In addition, Dr. Oriba has completed subspecialty training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Dermatopathology Fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Upon completion of his training, he became Head of Dermatology surgery and Dermatopathology at The Keck School of Medicine of USC. 

 

Dr. Oriba has served in the US Navy during Operation Desert Storm and was Head of Dermatology at Okinawa Naval Hospital. He has written numerous publications relating to the field of Dermatology, including 3 chapters in Dermatology textbooks, as well as over 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presented lectures on his research.

 

He is a Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatopathology, and Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.​

 

Over the last 30 years, he has dedicated his professional career to excellence for his patients and compassionate dermatological care.
